About
Writers, scientists, artists, policymakers and changemakers. Different perspectives. A shared belief for an open tomorrow.

AGORA by Asianet News aims to create a similar platform where disruptive ideas that shape the future are discussed over three days across 145 sessions of meaningful conversations by scientists, academics, policymakers, thought-leaders, journalists, technocrats, writers, etc.
The first edition, slated for Nov 27–29, 2026, brings together close to 200 speakers from across India and overseas. Kerala was the source of the spices that moved the medieval world. The place and its people knew from very early that the exchange of goods and the exchange of ideas are equally important for a society’s socio-cultural and economic development.
Close to 20 Tracks from science and technology to literature, cinema, environment, climate, brain, youth and spirituality.
AGORA brings together an eclectic mix of speakers who are iconoclasts, pioneers and those who care for the planet and its people.
We propose to institute a prestigious AGORA Prize to recognise and honour an Indian whose work has been pioneering and path breaking. The award will be presented during the festival. AGORA Edition (print/digital), which sums up the entire sessions with highlights and points of discussion, is the tangible takeaway of each edition. A copy of AGORA Edition will be presented to the government and selected think-tanks.
Held at the beautiful heritage venue of Kanakakunnu Palace in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city, AGORA will build a repository of ideas that unlock human potential and create new possibilities for a better world. As a responsible media organization, our duty won’t stop with collating the ideas. We plan to consistently campaign for realising the brilliant ideas churned out in the festival.
