Chetana Sachidanandan
Chetana Sachidanandan is a scientist, writer and translator. In her lab at the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Delhi, she studies how we grow into a fully functional, thinking animal from a single-celled embryo. She is curious about how genetics and environment influence embryonic development, giving rise to the immense neurodiversity among humans. She writes about this and anything else that moves her in essays, articles and blogs. She has also translated two Malayalam novels by Anand, her father, into English. One of her translations was shortlisted for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature.
